Question An Everyonebenefits e-mail slip

Does anyone else out there use Everyone.net for free e-mail services?

Yesterday, I got one of thier "Everyone Benefits" ad messages, eventhough I have my preferences set not to accept any of them. Did anyone else experience this yesterday or the day before?

I know this happen once before around the holiday season and Everyone.net said it was some kind of slip. Funny how these "slips" have started to occur with the earnings downturn. Never happend before recently.

When the first slip occured, we (Everyone.net users) all thought maybe they intended to "slip". This was back when Everyone.net had their own message board. I'd like to get thoughts from others. Because they never used to "slip".

I use Everyone.net's plug-in email service too. I've received ads from them yester and in the past. Not sure if it was just me but I noticed there was also 2 popups upon logging in. That is just not acceptable. I wrote them an email about it since they've taken down the user forums. Today, at least it seems like they've decreased the popups to only 1. I understand it's a free service and all, but there's just gotta be some limits.

They've slipped in the past, I won't be surprised if they slipped again.

Yes, I've seen the pop-up ads too. I don't think that will be going away any time soon.

I can handle 1 pop-up ad on their free e-mail service. I just wish I got 50% of the pop-up ads like we get 50% of the banners. Our relationship with Everyone.net started as a "50% of advertising space" kind of deal. So I want my cut of pop-up ads too. With the pop-ups they now have ads in 2 places I can't place an ad. Because they have those button ads too.

The way things are now for ad sponsored services, we will be lucky if they stay in business at all.
