By the way, you might want to edit your first post and remove the comma from the URL so that more people visit your site. I wondered why it didn't work when I clicked on the link.

The design of your site looks fine and I don't have any real suggestions on that aspect.

In regard to advertising companies, Doubleclick requires a couple of million page views per month before they will consider your site but unfortunately, with your sort of site it is unlikely that they would accept you even if you reach that traffic level. There is an oversupply of celebrity type sites. In fact you will have trouble finding any normal banner advertising type companies willing to take your sort of site.

Don't let this discourage you too much however. There are lots of people who frequent these forums who are in the same situation. This is the reason there is so much discussion about search programs, popup programs and affiliate programs. All of these types of programs are likely to earn you more money than standard banner advertising.

In regard to your 1-host question, try posting this question on the separate web hosting forum here or on the FreeWebSpace forums ( www.freewebspace.net/forums )

Hi, I'm new here, I have a site, http://www.pixieworld.net and I would like to know your opinion about it. I also have a few questions for you.
1. The only advertising I'm using is Adpowerzone's popunders, I wouldn't like to jam the site with adverts, so I'm thinking of letting the traffic grow (the page isn't completely uploaded, this is about 1/10 of it) and then trying to apply to a big company like doubleclick, what do you think?
2. What do you think about the design of the site? Would you add anything to the content?
3. Do you have any tips for uploading a large amount of files (mostly images) faster? I'm using a 56k modem.
4. Does anyone use 1-host? What do you think about them?
