Default Maximising Income

Hi

I run a website that generates around 200k visitors per month and I guess somewhere around the 2m mark in terms of page views.

What kind of income should I be looking to achieve from this as CPM and who are the best companies to work with

I am based in the UK

Cheers

It depends, what kind of website do you have ? Is it website targetted for international, US or Uk visitors ?

In the main it is uk visitors as it relates to a football club I support. Majority of visitors will therefore be male and 50%+ live in Wales.

Also a large percentage of the page views will be forum based - I have always been told that makes a difference (i.e. lowers ecpm?)

Yeah, forums are there to build a community, basically a forum is a loss leader to complement a main website. I'm a bit behind the times in terms of UK ad networks, but since the majority is forum traffic, you should look for affiliate networks with betting companies. Tradedoubler has a lot, so has AffiliateWindow, there's buy.at, affiliatefuture etc. Try to find ways of closely integrating the betting company odds charts within the content, like a chart showing odds of an upcoming game etc. Online betting pays huge sums for each new user, sometime as much as 50 but they are very hard to convert unless you have the right sort of site.

Are there any affiliate programs that sell products associated with your team? You can do that or get a little creative with what you can offer them just don't **** them off

I believe affiliated marketing is best suited for your website because your website is niche oriented. Try to find affiliated programs related to sports (especially Football based). Conversion rate will be high if you place right affiliated products on your web pages.

We should be sensible with our selection. If we want to maximize our earnings. As a Forex trader, I don’t need to do a lot because there is so much potential here. It’s so much easier with FreshForex, who is one of the best broker you could ever think about. I simply love working with them and makes the life so much easier.
