Question Script to make changes throughout our site...?

I know there are scripts to do this. My site is hosted on one webhosting account and I would like to make changes on hundreds of pages automatically. Manually making these small ammendments would take days. Is there a way of changing, for example, a word used throughout my site?

I know FrontPage has this feature, but I don't use FrontPage.

Thank you.

I have used BKReplaceEm before. Does a good job but be careful, these sort of utilities are pretty powerful.

You could always redo your site in ASP, which would probably be the best, though most involved solution. Or you could put the info in a .js file and have a tiny piece of code on your site call that, but it won't work for people w/ javascript disabled. I'm sure you can do the same w/ Perl, though I haven't tried that yet...
I actually just use homesite & do an extended replace on all open documents, which works just as fast if the piece of code you want to change on all your pages is exactly the same.

There are actually a lot of good conent systems out there including phpnuke, postnuke, vbportal and numerous others (see www.hotscripts.com or www.cgi-resources.com).

Moving to this system is not simple as everythng has to be changed and added but it can save you a lot of time in the long run.
