Default Error message when accessing GV forum

I just tried to get to gv forum and got this error message on a blank white page:

Text Link Ads script error: <snipped filename for security reasons> does not exist. Please create a blank file named <snipped>.

Thought someone would want to know?

Thanks sincerely for letting me know this, Kathy.

I must have been right in the middle of configuring this new plugin when you dropped by. The missing file now exists and all should be well.

Please let me know if you continue to see this error or any other unusual behaviour.

Thanks again,

Security reasons? I never thought just the name of a file could pose a risk.

If it's a world-writable XML file that contains sensitive reporting data, it's never a good idea to publish it for the world to see.

If it was your file, you'd have the option to show it off if you wish, but since this is our website, we have the choice as to which files and which data we want to make available. I hope you understand.
