Hi all,

I need help. I can't access some of the websites. e.g. msn.com, msnbc.com etc
I'm using AT&T Broadband and already talked to them and they recommended upgrading browser and I did from IE 5.0 to IE5.5
and already talked to websites reps that they are not banning my ip

what could be the problem ?

looks like some browser or other file on my PC is corruupted. any help ?

I'm on windows NT , IE5.5 ...

Thanks,

I would suggest doing a trace route from your system to the sites not reachable.

You may be able to see if there is a connectivity problem with ATT, send the results to them.
A fairly good program for this is available here: http://www.cyberkit.net

Also try using a proxy server to view the sites if you wish.

Thanks for reply !

I've already talked to ATT and they said some of the files might be corrupted on my PC.

I've sent the traceroute to ATT and website support both but no benefits.

I tried megaproxy.com but it didn't work for any internet website.

What did the Trace Route reveal, Does it show a problem somewhere down the line, do you know anyone in your area on AT&T Broadband?

If you can find someone close to you check and see if they too are having problems.

Many DSL providers also provide their customers with a free dial up account for checking e-mal from other systems away from home. If AT&T offers this, I suggest you attempt to connect to the unreachable sites with the Diap up acount.

I had the same problem as you, some sites were unaccessable. After doing a Trace Route I was able to convince them the problem was not with my system, but exisited with my provider having troubles connecting to the Telus backbone. The problem was fixed in a few hours.

Have you tried Netscape?
