Default Fight Scum in Your Affiliate Agreement

Hi Folks

IMHO, Both Affiliate program merchants and affiliates can and should play a major part in the battle to fightback on scumsoftware.

However, because its the merchants who decide on the terms of affiliate agreement. Its obvious therefore that we should ask the merchants to study the possibility of adding a term in the affiliate agreement to fightback on the current scumsoftware and any similar scum in future.

The Affiliate Union group have started discussing the text of such a term.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/affili...n/message/1564

An AU member has suggested something to the effect:

<quote>

Affiliate agrees not to use any predatory advertising methods in the promotion of the merchant products, services or affiliate
program. Predatory advertising is defined as any method that creates or changes links or banners on web sites without that web site's owners
expressed permission. Participation in predatory advertising programs will be cause for affiliates immediate termination.

</quote>

Would you as a merchant and affiliate agree to such term in your affiliate agreement?

Or do you have a better suggestion?

Thanks.

All the best,

Harith

I would most certainly agree to that clause as an affiliate.

Something HAS to be done to control this dirty practice!!!
