Is Free news feeds for your web site a dying breed???

I used to use Excite news, another one that I used was iSyndicate. Both places offered banner swaps for click throughs for folks who used the news feeds. It was just nice to have the news feeds.

Seems like it is the trend in the internet that the "something for nothing" sites are dying.

What do you think? Free News is Dead???

We have been using Subportal.com for a while. The news pages are cobranded but they are charging now, and it is rather slow.

Moreover (http://www.moreover.com) is a possible option.

http://www.backwash.com/freecontent.php is yet another.

None of these pay.

Moreover is free only for non commercial websites. For using it on a commercial website you have to pay. But their newsfeed is highly customisable.

I have read Moreover's site and see no mention of any pricing, or any terms and conditions. Just call me cynical, (everyone else does :-) ) but I have to wonder why price and conditions aren't at least mentioned on the web site. (Unless I'm missing something on their site???)
