Default Google has launched Google Finance

Google has introduced a beta version of Google Finance which uses a keyword system.

Google Finance has financial news, stock quotes, charts and data. Right now it doesn't cover has much as some of the established financial sites. But this is only the beta and Google does have some expansion plans for it.

Below the search box there are summaries and links to news, blogs and moderated-finance group discussions.

Google Finance has an unsual feature that lets you look at financial news beside historical price charts. You can select time frames. The news results will change to the news associated with the dates you selected in the past for the historical price charts.

Google Finance has features that allow you to track mutual fund performance, set up stock portfolios or connect to other online financial sites.

There will be human editors to moderate Google Finance Groups.

its been really hard to track what Google's doing lately. Larwee did you here about Google buying Sketchup bec. they are planning to use that 3D program for Google Maps.

Anyway is about time Google goes after Yahoo on the financial news market but they still have a long way to go ..

Strange! Google Finance really displays well in my blackberry, you think they're making it mobile device friendly?

Yes, trabaho, I knew about Google purchase of @Last Software and their SketchUp. I just didn't mention it. While Google is using it for Google Earth it still is going to be used as it has in the past by such people as architects and engineers.

Google does have an interest in mobile devices. But Google clearly has an interest in a lot of things. It is difficult to predict what they are going to do next or what their reasons might be.
