Default T-shirts for your website, a good idea?

About 2 years ago, I had a lot of people who wanted to buy some bestofhumor.com t-shirts. So I had a cartoonist named zeebarf draw up the artwork, nothing too fancy but still enough to promote the shirts.

Well I had 100 of them printed up but I never sold one. Click on the link below to see why!

Cllick here to see the t-shirts that were never sold

I am glad I got them for free!

Default Tee Shirts

Those tee shirts are hilarious! The fact that it has wwww instead of www is very funny and shows how funny your site is.

gagsplus,

Why not give them away for the cost of shipping?

It beats washing your car with them.....

Robert is spot on.

Give them away as Quiz and or contest prizes. Maybe even for x number of Tell a friend about funky duck site referrals

Then what will happen is a Geek walks into her or his office and the little Geeks see the unique T and they want one. They pay

Remember the Nike campaign for 'MJ" aka his hiness Michael Jordan?

Tag line: Just like Mike. or was it "I wanna be just like Mike"

This is powerfull stuff.

I think the shirts look nice but I would never buy it.

Shirts like that are the kind of thing you get for free, as a promotional item. Look at all the free Newport t-shirts. Nobody would ever buy them. Why would you wanna buy a shirt with a company name or website name on it? Unless you're trying to make some sort of statement... like with Tony Hilfiger clothes: "Look at me, I'm cool! I wear Hilfiger" or Nike or some other brand name like that. I don't think evn ****edcompany.com sells a lot of shirts, although Pud has a lot of devoted fans and he used half ***** porn girls to model his shirts.

But would you wear a shirt that says Toyota on it? Or Entenmanns? No... Unless you got the shirt for free.
