Cool Amazon vs. Barnes&Noble

Well, I'm currently deciding whether to use barnes&noble or Amazon for my site bookstore.

Well - Amazon does pay 15% for direct links for books, and 5% for non-direct buys.

Barnes and Noble pays 5% flat.

That seems to close the deal, right? Not there is 3 more things to consider. Amazon has a very, very big brand name. There is a great chance that my visitors go to amazon.com directly and buy the book.

Another advantage of Barnes and Noble is that their store part is more customizable (add own logo and stuff, whihc is good)

The 3:rd advantage is that Barnes and noble offer cheaper books than Amazon, which may get over current Amazon customers. What is your experience and opinions?

Well, I ordered professional php programming(programmer to programmer) and MySQL(Other New Riders) today. BN & Amazon had the same price on both books.

Fortunately www.bestbookbuys.com showed where the books were even cheaper, so I saved about $15 by not shopping through the big boys.

I think I'm going to use booksamillion.com as my merchant, actually - they seem very good, and scores high on bestbookbuys.
