I don't have a life either. I sit in front of my PC all day looking at my statistics, replying to e-mails, and going to my websites to see if they are working fine.

And of course, visiting this board which is great. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

I need a LIFE!!!

steve you should add on a geek personals section to this site, after all, what good is a village without baby villagers? Here's my ad:

Hi, my name is Joe, i'm a talented 16 year old webmaster. I enjoy long walks on the beaches and candle light dinners, I also have more money then I know what to do with. I once threw a snowball at a girl who said my head was mis-shaped but other then that I have a rather unviolent past. All that I ask in a fine young lady is that they have the ability to cook, clean, and take care of children. A devious chain-smoker hacker chick that has the ability to penetrate virtually any UNIX and or NT system on the internet would be satisfactory as well.

Wink

Boy oh boy ! This thread might very well reach 100 by the weekend !!! http://geekvillage.com/ubb/wink.gif

Well, personally, I do spend a substantial amount of time online monitoring my website, my stocks and tech news. My phone line is pretty much tied up the entire evening as soon as I get home from work. There are so much that needs to be done ..... e-mails, online classes that I'm enrolled in, software testing and etc. Anyway, to say that webmasters/webmistress do not have a life is kinda' extreme. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif I do not consider going out cruising around aimlessly as being very exciting anyhow. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/wink.gif So, might as well spend my precious time developing something fruitful and fulfilling. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif My woman is very understanding and very supporting. I do spend time doing 'chick' activities with her occasionally like going to the park, going to movies, going shopping and so on. I guess it all boils down to time-management.

There is more men in the world, at least that's what I hear alot. I don't know if it's true.

They say because men have a higher death rate, Wars, etc.

Of course, we're all geeks and no women will approach us so its hopeless mp3nskins....

Bwahahhahahhahahahaha

actually, I hear, there are more females in this world than males. Male bodies are designed to wear out faster, so they do not live as long as females.

btw, all males are not geeks, all geeks are not males.

Flycast don't offer realtime stats and usually I check all kinds of statistics once a day.
But it's true I'm spending fairly much time surfing the Net. Coz it's one of my jobs. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Thumbs up

http://geekvillage.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

My girlfriend just saw this thread:

She looked at me and screamed "Get a life Steve"

and then she said with a large smile

"even lady Webmasters"

I'm still smiling. Another healthy sign of "Community" and what is also very rewarding is to see many of our "Lady Webmasters" posting. This has long been a passion of mine.

I'm on line between 12 and 18 hours per day and thats a 7 day work week. I check affiliate stats about once per week but do spend a lot of time with my log files and stats on services I offer plus CTR on banners I serve.

It's still fun and most rewarding. Thank you http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

It's all right, joe. There's plenty more ppl in the world with misshapen heads. In fact, i think it's required to be funny looking if you're a webmaster. You have to sign a contract that says "i will look like a geek".... hehehe... maybe thats why i'm such a terrible webmaster.
lol

I am a 'webmistress' as well. I spend way too much time checking stats and not enough time updating my pages. I just recently got internet access on my laptop so I can check on everything while I'm away.

It keeps me out of trouble and my husband knows where I am.

Do you think Xena owns a laptop?

Oh come on everybody, you all know what kind of women go to Xena conventions and actively watch the WNBA.

*hint* the kind that don't marry men *hint*
