Angry

I've received the same e-mail. However, it was at an address that they would've had to pull off of my site (or elsewhere), as I use a completely different one here at GV.

And, as a side note, I'm not sure how impressed I am with their site, either. There's absolutely no info on how much they pay publishers. (Yeah, they pay 70% of the gross to publishers, but 70% of a little is still a little.)

This is odd indeed - I too received the e-mail, and the subject line of the mail read:

Advertise on XXXXXX

Where XXXXXX would represent the domain name I think ... but it didn't just express the domain name with me, it also had a line of text behind it ... which is exactly the same as I have filled out @ FineClicks, and only there.

Not trying to throw stones, not *at all* (I'm a very happy FineClicks member and wouldn't suspect Chet of selling out his userbase), just telling something which got in my sight and which I find very weird ... any heads up on this?

I know that, and I am not accusing Chet, thought I made that clear. Just telling fellow geeks what caught my eye ...

OK, cool.

Hmm...yeah, that does sound odd. Are you 100% positive that you haven't used that nick anywhere else?

Completely. It's the URL field under Website information btw ...
And I find it odd too ... oh well, maybe it's all a coincidence - but somehow that sounds odd to me also

Default Hmmm....

This is very odd indeed. Of course, Chet would not sell out his user-base... I myself am an extremely happy FineClicks affiliate.

Perhaps there is a FineClicks merchant of questionable ethics who is misusing the information about affiliates available to him or her? Just a thought.

Yeah maybe. I remember a few weeks back my stats showed somebody accessing my site using the fineclicks admin area, didn't think of it much at that time, I though some advertiser just wanted to check up on my site, but now I'm kind of suspicious. Did anyone try to call up that number at the bottom of that email?

Alright, question: Did anyone of you get that e-mail, although you're not using FineClicks?

I didn't get it yet, I feel so left out. Can someone tell the spammer to mail me too?

I'm not using fineclicks, but I received the email a couple of minutes ago as well.
I DID try to join fineclicks though with the same email address (was rejected), so they might still have it in their database..
