Arrow Keeping the Key Report

My good friend Mark Brownlow has written a great eBook that I consider a must read for anyone serious about the business side of maintaining a newsletter or discussion list.

Much has been written about starting and promoting a newsletter, which is why the "Keeping the Key Report" is so refreshing: it focuses on how to effectively build and maintain an ongoing relationship with your subscribers, in the face of ever-mounting competition from alternative newsletters and from the bulk mail that clogs your subscribers' inboxes.

I had the great priviledge of reviewing the report as a work-in-progress and contributing feedback to Mark to help shape the finished product (though I hasten to add that my contribution was a minor one) and it is quite simply the most READABLE ebook I've ever read.

Mark knows how to write and, equally importantly, he knows his subject, having penned over 300 newsletter issues and having reviewed over 500 separate newsletters for ibizNewsletters.com (part of the Internet Business Forum, a company I co-founded, now sadly defunct)

Here are just a handful of the many topics covered in the Report:

* How to choose a content strategy
* The critical value of your email headers
* The metrics of newsletter success
* How to best exploit reader feedback

The report is written for all email publishers, and especially for businesses using newsletters to gain and retain customers.
