Default Between Page ads and Search Engines

Wasn't sure whether to put this in the making money section or search engine section of the forums. Hopefully this is the right area.

I am going to start a change over from pops to between page ads simply because too many visitors use pop up blockers now. HOWEVER, does anyone know if using between page ads affects search engine rankings in any way?

I don't want to plummet in Google due to using a different ad type.

Any word on the subject would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Z

I don't think that they will. Both fastclick and our between page ads keep the href="whatever" part of the site as it would normally be and it is javascript that makes the between page ad happen. I think tribalfusion offers these as well, but I havent seen enough of them to tell if they work in the same way.

So I wouldnt think it would change your ranking in google, but I don't work at google so I can't guarantee anything.

Thanks for the info. That makes sense now that I actually look at the code. I guess I'll try a few and see what happens

FastClick and Tribal are the two biggest (of those that represent indie sites).

TribalFusion's product doesn't require any code changes, and will function as long as you have their rich-media banner code on the page in question. FastClick's interstitial requires manual modifications of those links that you'd like to have trigger transitional ads. As such, they can be a pain to implement on static sites.

JoeTec provides between page ads as well (in addition to the two Czar mentioned). I am currently using the JoeTec ads (only on a few pages as they take awhile to install ) and have been pleased with the ads and the figures. I recommend them.

do you have an example of Joetec's, Fastclicks or TribalFusion's between ads?

The only once I've ever seen are the once on IGN, I think.

I just added fastclick's to a few of my sites and wow they really boosted the income.

They have Global code which means all you have to do is add the code to one page and it will work on all the links on that page.

CPM is great $4.53 ECPM

Those pop-up killers are stealing our already-measily revenue. Therefore, we too are looking to create ads that go in-between pages for our content-packed sites.

Is there any code we can use to generate our own in-between ads please? Could create the in-between pages and allow the ads to appear via our own HTML code, but there must be an easier way...
