Thumbs down MailBits + Your Site = DECREASE IN TRAFFIC!

I found out I had a one page site on a funny comic that was getting 20,000 hits per day. I kept an eye on it for a while and the hits were steadily increasing.

After a while I decided to put on the mailbits program (tell a friend). At first, I was making $150 a day! Each day after that, my daily income dropped by 15 dollars...as well as my visitors! When I was down to 75 dollars a day and my traffic was now at 9,000 per day, I decided to take it off! I received over 50 afffiliates from mailbits program which was good.

Now I have been keeping track of my visitors now and they are GOING BACK UP! I guess people tell more of thier friends using thier own resources than mailbits's tell a friend program.

I also know of this happening to many of other webmaster in my situation.

Wow! How do your potential visitors "know" what programs you are running on your site, so they can avoid your site,---if, they have Never been to your site?

Thanks for the giggle! http://www.very-cool-stuff.com/ubb/smile.gif

btw, I doubt Mailbits has anything to do with ones traffic fluctuation.

coincidence and of course your income will decrease over time with a program like mailbits, people can only sign up once. it's not a click thru program.

good luck http://www.very-cool-stuff.com/ubb/wink.gif

Question

How did you summon so much traffic per day? Were you on a link list somewhere or just simply search engines?

I'm trying to get more traffic to my new site, Any suggestions welcome!
