Unhappy Moreover closing affiliate program July 1st.

Too bad Moveover is closing their program.

It was a good one. Does anyone have any opinions about lead programs being revenue generators for the long term (over 1 year)? It seems many of the programs get their mailing list built up and then quickly pull the rug out. (Same with the @home program that paid 10$ per lead).

CPM is disappearing, CPC is going soon from CJ and other places. Pay per lead is great for awhile when the new merchant wants to build their spam list.

IS CPA the only viable way out for the long term????

Dear Associate,

I would like to thank you for your help in growing the Moreover network.
Because of your efforts, our associate program has been a terrific success.
Moreover webfeeds now appear on thousands of sites and can be found just
about anywhere on the web. A growth rate of this magnitude would not have
been possible without your help, and we sincerely thank you for
participating in our associate program.

In light of the fact that we have reached our network goals, it has been
decided that we will now focus on the core of Moreover’s business – dynamic
information management, and we will be discontinuing the associate program.
You will continue to be paid commissions on leads generated through July 1st

We value our relationship with you and would be thrilled if you chose to
continue using Moreover. Since your associate links (including links at the
bottom of newsfeeds) will expire after July 1st, you will need to replace
them with direct Moreover links or modified newsfeeds.

We recommend that you update these by July 1st to avoid any frustration to
your users. If you would like help in doing so, please write to me at
associateprogram@moreover.com. I am more than happy to be of
