Lightbulb Pay per click

I am doing some research before opening our
new Pay per click firm.

Which one of these issues are more important to you (webmasters)
1- Pay rate
2- frequency of pay periods
3- minimum pay limit
4- Click ratio

Our future plan is to focus on small quality web sites (10000 hits per month). Our rates will be around 10-15 cents. We
make sure that the click ratio is above 0.5 other wise the advertisers must submit a more clickable banner. The minimum
pay out would be $15. The pay periods would be 10 days after the end of the month. For larger sites (250000+ hits) We
try to sell CPM only. The CPM will be negotiated with the advertiser at highest possible price.

Your constructive comments are appreciated.

I would have to say that the pay rate is the most important (at least above .15 cents/click). Next come click ratio (hey if it's low, who cares if they pay .20/click). Then frequency of pay periods (twice a month sounds good). Finally, i can care less about minimum payout.

For me, another good 'feature' of a CPC network is mulitple banner sizes. Adverts don't always work best as a standard 468x60 banner.

On our site, we see a higher clickthrough % on 120x60 add, and text links.

You should pay on time. I hate when sponsors say that they pay at a certain time and when this time comes they don't. Every month they say "checks are delayed" If they can't pay by then, then they should pay their payment date at a later time. If you can't pay by the 15th then say you pay on the 30th.

5. An option to block all casino ads that might be in network, from ever appearing on one of my sites

This is might just my own personal hang up, but it's important to me.

Two issues are important to me:

Let me choose the ads, or at least choose a target area. I run a webmasers site and I only want ads that would be useful to webmasters. If I have to run all the ads that you offer, you're just wasting both of our time.

Don't restrict me from causing your ad from bringing up a new browser window (i.e. target="_LINK"). If they leave my site because of your ad, you may have a customer, but I've lost one.

Just my 2 cents,

Frank

most important, a high cpc rate, 10-15 cents isn't high.

paying 10 days at end of the month isn't progressive at all, many do it twice monthly.

$15 payout rate is nice, lower than most.

1/2 percent click thru rate sounds nice but ur not guaranteeing individual webmasters anything. i could get at 5 percent ctr and 9 other webmaster ZERO. that would still meet ur ctr requirement.

in summary, more money per click, payments more frequent, the 1/2 percent thing is admirable but just sugar coating in my book. also, where's ur referral program? ur gonna need one. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

where's the cash? http://geekvillage.com/ubb/eek.gif
