Default Please review my site

I just started a new website, Site-Fuel.com. I would really appreciate it if some people would take a look at it and tell me what they think, whats wrong with it, how it could be improved, ect. I'm selling real businesses that I have tested and know they work so I'm trying to stay away from the hype and testiminials all that the other websites offering "real" business seem to use. I'm sure though if I'm getting the pint across, am I to vague?, do I need more info? I would also like to add the option asking for a quote on a custom turn-key business(using thier idea), any idea how to incorporate that into the site?

Default My Opinion

Hi David,

I took a peek at your site -- love the vintage images!

I have a few questions/suggestions, based on my experiences & opinions...

I know you wanted to stay away from 'the usual testimonials' and I can understand that in a sense, but I think a 'testimonials' page &/or portfolio of sorts lends credibility. As a porspective customer I would want to see what you can do (esp. as you site is very 'masculine' looking & maybe my business ideas are of another sort). Seeing examples, and reading comments from others would help. You can testimonials rather easily if you offer links.

Maybe I am bit thick or slow <g>, but I am a bit confused what you 'really do.' Examples would help here too, but some clarity in the content... Your home page discusses turn key operations, including wholesalers, but on services you start with the buying traffic options which is a bit confusing. I am guessing your market is folks in 'start-up' phase, so they will need things broken down to the basic terms -- the 'what can you really do for me'. Even a listing of types of businesses would help people put themselves into that image -- 'I can see myself doing that!' sort of a thing.

Your navigation is nice & clean! Very easy to get around, but can you increase the font a bit? Some viewers may have problems with it.

If you ar targeting people at the start-up phase, perhaps you could offer a free newlsetter that reviews basics of 'making the decision to start your own business' or 'trends in business' etc. This way you can stay in touch with leads, and offer them a reason to remember you services.

Just my ideas!

I wish you well,
D

Thanks for the comments, thats exactly what I needed. It's hard for me to judge how hard/easy something is to understand because I am so familiar with everything I tend to forget what is commen knowledge and what is needs to be clarified ect. Thanks again

I am glad I could help. Most of us have the same problem of being to close to our work to see how it looks to others. I had so many pairs of fresh eyes look at mine I felt my traffic would never be higher than those review days!

If you'd like me take a look again once you've made changes, just ask!
