It seems that this month's CPM's are a tiny bit higher than last month. Anyone else or is it a figment of my imagination?

I happily agree with you - CPM for me is on the rise again, quite a bit even - a pleasant sight http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

I'm with Engage (mostly) and have seen rates come crashing down this month on all counts. Even our site that had 17% CTR is getting poor CPMs. But I'm just chalking it up to a) market (which is bad for all) and b) beginning of the month (which is traditionally bad for Engage).

I noticed a bit of a difference. I was actually able to cover my server expenses this month just with banners. It's been a while since that happened.

SS, back in December I cut the Engage delivery to slightly under 400k/month. Over that period, with the impressions at a fairly constant rate, the effective CPM (before commission) has climbed from $1.20 to 1.36 in March.

Another site I run that uses Engage has showed no up trend yet... Although if it did, I'd be a happy camper http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

dbcooper, my results have been similar to yours, in that when I reduced my exposure to Engage (in response to very late payments from Engage Australia), I noticed my CPMs rise. Of course, this phenomena is not new in the CPM field, with more impressions generally converting to a greater proportion of default ads.
This is one of the reasons why it's ideal to have active accounts with 2 or 3 CPM/CPC agencies, with a few CPA accounts open to handle defaults. ------------------ Czar |

Typically, for me anyways, my CPM is higher at the beginning of the month through the ad networks. Fastclick has been encouraging lately w/ the increasing number of campaigns, esp. popunders.

Yes, and that's why I cut them back to those levels. But, with the total delivered impressions roughly at the same level over the past 4 months, the effective CPM has trickled up by 16 cents so it does appear that the rates might have bottomed out. I should have added earlier that I blocked pop-ups and pop-unders. |

Well I would say CPM is rising a little bit higher, but consider negligible.
I'm with BurstMedia, there's more campaign than January and February and overall revenue has increased like 3 folds..but then how long can this last again? Anyhow, the increase though 3 folds is quite minimal compare to last year. ------------------ Ex Anime Genesis dot Com - Anime Entertainment Channel |

I saw my Luna network CPM take a big jump from January to Feb although it has been so volatile that I'll have to wait for the March results before I consider it a trend. Fingers crossed!
