It's funny you say this as I was thinking of adding those two options to the click method. It would be fairly easy to differentiate inbound links and outbound by just checking the domain in the href.

I'm also thinking about giving the ability to select an alternate ad when faced with a blocker where your current ad won't bypass or convert (either because of size or setting). The alternate ad could be another pop that you know can be converted on both browsers (revenue.net) for instance .. or perhaps an invue or popin. I don't know if revenue.net would go for that though.

Also, is there an option to force the pop only without any sort of conversion?
Yeap, you can configure it to your liking (clicking the methods open up more options). http://www.adoutput.com/generate.cfm

You forgot the .js on this line <script src="BB_qBBG"></script>

PopupTraffic serves mostly modeless windows to IE in their popup program. Try it with the popunder first so you can see how the debug frame works.

<SCRIPT src="BA_qABG"></SCRIPT>

what's the reporting URL all about? Does it generate stats. I made up an empty popstats.html file with nothing in it, but nothing is getting written to the file.

Hmm... Do you? The instructions gave me the same line but without .js

I guess we'll have to wait for Sashman's clarification.

The script would not work for me without putting the .js in.
Is it working for you at the mo without it?

It was my bad, I left the .js out in the instructions in that one line.

The reporting URL sends pop/bypass information to an HTML/CGI file to be stored. We only have a logger/reporting tool written for it in cold fusion, however. It should be fairly easy to write in another language. We'll be posting documentation on the logger and API tomorrow.

Here are the passed URL variables and logging snippet.

ad - state of the popup :

0 - Held - Popup is attempting to load (this is usually followed by another state indicating what happened). If it has no followup state, then the pop has failed.
1 - Normal - Popup was displayed normally
2 - Framed - Popup was blocked and was turned into a frame
3 - Modeless - Popup was blocked and was turned into a modeless pop
4 - Forced - Popup was blocked, but was forced by blocker
5 - Clicked - Popup was blocked, but was displayed due to a user click

key - mostly-unique ID of the popup (25 digit random key).
au - URL of popup
av - PopUp variable list (width, height, location, etc..)

Logger in Cold Fusion

// Check to see if ad key exists already
<cfquery datasource="logDB" name="check">
select 1 from userlog where ADKEY = '#url.key#'

//if ad key doesn't exist then create a new entry
<cfquery datasource="logDB" name="insert">

values
('#HTTP_USER_AGENT#','#CGI.REMOTE_ADDR#',#url.ad#, '#url.key#',getdate(),'#url.extra# #url.au#','#url.av#')
</cfquery>
<CFELSE>

//if ad key exists, then update that entry
<cfquery datasource="logDB" name="update">
