Based on Linkshare defined criteria, this affiliate network places a red star next to qualifying merchants.
From Linkshare web site: A Premium Partner is a merchant program that: Uses LinkShare's check-cutting service. Pays affiliates on a monthly basis. Pays affiliates based on a maximum $25 threshold. Prompt authorization of affiliate payments so affiliates are paid at the end of the following month. Seven or more return days (does not apply to merchants with pay per click programs). Has supplied valid and complete contact information in their profile. Active and in good standing. Call me ignorant, but I would like to know: * how can a merchant that pays on a quarterly basis be called Premium Merchant by Linkshare * how can a merchant that has never paid its affiliates since the launch of their program be called a Premium Merchant * how can a merchant that pays 3 months late be called a Premium Merchant * how can a merchant that is about to file for bankruptcy be called a merchant in good standing, thus a Premium Merchant? Just wondering... |

007, are you referring to any merchant(s) in particular?

Czar,
Yes, I was referring to one merchant in particular: Dialpad. According to Linkshare Merchant Payment History (which was only made available this week for this merchant), they have never sent a payment since the launch of their program in May. Furthermore, this merchant will be shutting down (the whole company, not just the affiliate program), so it seems that we will not get paid. The problem is that when I checked other 'Premium Merchants' I found out that many pay late, and that many don't even pay monthly (as required) but actually pay quarterly. One of those merchants is Giftcertificates.com |

How convenient: Dialpad is no longer a 'Premium Merchant'...
