So far my experience is concerned I would suggest to leave it to your web hosting services provider, and for some reason if you want to purchase it at your own, approach 'GoDaddy'.

There are a few things you want to know of your domain registrar.

How easy or difficult is it do the following:
* updating your DNS settings
* resetting your password
* getting you EPP code
* setting up private domain registration

Some other questions:
* Do they have auto-renewal?
* How am I notified when my domain is about to expire
* Do you allow domain forwarding
* What are your operating hours?

I've seen where a client needed to update their DNS setting, and the domain registrar had gone on hiatus or leave.

There are many aspects that interfere to get best domain but most of the case in is linked to the kind of domain you want org; com. etc.. talk to stocklii expert and you may find get more ideas about
