Contests in geek/create - geek/talk: Signature-free discourse for serious web publishers

I saw a contest sponsored by GeekVillage in the geek/create forum and was wondering if that forum was open for contests not sponsored by GeekVillage.

If it is open for contests sponsored by members are there any regulations or limitations that apply? I was unable to find any kind of rules for that forum.
