Default new helpful site trying to get traffic

I have a new site that offers a free non biased advice. I think it is pretty unique and will be very beneficial. I am averaging about 25 hits per day but I am hoping for a much larger amount. I have submitted to all of the top search engines. Can anyone help me with new ideas? www.concluzion.com (yes I know it is spelt wrong, it was meant to be )

Welcome to Geek/Talk, bjorkk.

You mentioned you are gettting about 25 hits a day. I assume you are talking about 25 unique visitors. There is often some confusion over this issue. Depending on the contents of a page, just one person producing one pageview could produce 25 hits in the stats, if for example, the page had several graphics. You could have 25 hits but only one unique visitor.

I noticed that your site was registered on April 27, 2006. If you are getting around 25 unique visitors a day, that really isn't bad for such a short period of time. It takes time to build up traffic.

When I checked a couple of hours ago, you were only in Yahoo search as far as the major search engines are concerned. I would expect you will soon be indexed by MSN, which is now slowly starting to use the Microsoft name with more of the properties that previously had MSN as part of their names.

It might be a while before you are indexed by Google. If you are lucky it won't be long. But don't be upset or worried if it is a few months. Google often doesn't index new sites, on purpose, for several months.

Since it does take time to build traffic, you will need to do your best to try to be patient. But there are still many things you can do that will help you to increase your traffic as well as avoid problems by not doing things that you shouldn't.

Here are a few links to previous Geek/Talk threads that could help you. If you read everything in all of these threads you are likely to find a few very helpful tips.

Lawree,

Why isn't there a site building or traffic building or site promotion FAQ/Sticky thread which either summarizes those steps or lists posts that are helpful to that topic? Same for CPM/Revenue discussions, etc. It just seems that you are having to answer the same question over and over again.

Great suggestion Anthony.

It's hard to collate all of the best threads into a single location, since there are so many quality tips and suggestions posted here every day, but we have actually gathered most of the most popular and/or most authoritative threads together into a single "Archive of the Best Threads", which may be found here:
http://www.geekvillage.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=23

This contains copies of many of the threads that Larwee references on a regular basis, for your convenience.
