Default Google Adsense email Account Updates

Quote:
Hello,

We'd like to let you know about some improvements that we're making to Google AdSense.

When you log in to your account on October 2nd, you'll notice some updates to your account pages. The changes were designed to simplify your account navigation, and to allow us to seamlessly introduce new features as AdSense continues to grow. These changes include:

- New 'Settings' tab
- Ability to specify a payee name
- Expanded payment history
- 30 character limit for address fields

To read more about these features, please visit the 'What's New with Google AdSense' page at
http://www.google.com/services/adsense_new.html .

In addition, we are excited to announce the rollout of AdSense for a limited number of non-English languages. Existing AdSense publishers now have the option of placing their ad code on pages with content in French, German, Italian, and Spanish, providing that these pages comply with the Terms and Conditions ( https://www.google.com/adsense/terms ) and program policies ( https://www.google.com/adsense/policies ). Simply cut and paste your ad code from the 'Ad Layout Code' page to begin serving ads in the appropriate language.

We hope that these layout changes and expanded language capabilities will improve your AdSense experience. We welcome any feedback relating to these changes, or to the AdSense program, and encourage you to send your comments or questions to adsense-support@google.com .

Sincerely,

The Google Team

Looking forward to Oct 2 for the extra account info. Looks like they keep getting better and better.

Thanks for this information Kathy, I have not received this e-mail myself (at least not yet).

It seems all updates from Google comes as good surprises (except the hickup on ads for "similar sites" which was promptly removed after many of us complained), and hopefully the next update will enable other ways of payment. Checks are outdated, slow and expensive to use. My bank has a $20 fee for every check I cash. On top of that, although they know me by now, they don't like taking checks. How about the ability to get paid through PayPal or even better, wire transfer the revenue to our bank accounts? It shouldn't be that difficult to arrange.

Another thing I'd like to see is per site/domain reports.

I agree Martin. I'm hoping for electronic funding (like amazon started last year) for direct deposit. I bank online so I love to log in and see a deposit by amazon. Would LOVE to see google adsense money deposited directly too.

And I'd also like to see reports based on domains.

Maybe those are coming.

>> How about the ability to get paid through PayPal

Yes its easy to set up

However I know of at least 2 larger companies who are not willing to deal with paypal because of its customer service/banking insurance issues ( http://www.paypalwarning.com ).

Looks like Google switched over to their updated site. I had to re-confirm my agreement to abide by their terms and conditions. Otherwise, it's pretty much the same, with reduced tabs up top. Nothing fancy, but as the program grows, it will probably be a bit easier to get around in.

After reading Leviathans post, I quickly checked my control panel for any changes. I did notice them.

It seems nicer and cleaner, but the old one was better in my opinion (Most likley because I was use to it).

This is going to be good. Now I just need the check

Obviously this update did not include other forms of payments. However, If PayPal was an option, I would definatley not choose it due to the fact that PayPal would take a large sum of the money.

It depends on the method they use to send the payments out via paypal. If they send one at a time (which would be unlikely) you would be charged. However, if they used mass payments, 'they' would be charged for the convienence of sending out the mass payment. On something that grand of a scale, I'm certain google would work out a good relationship with paypal to reduce their costs.

If I recall, Fastclick's paypal payment uses the mass payment method, so publishers are not charged for the incoming transfer.
