I faired a bit better than that $1.51 for 1464 impressions for yesterday. Defaults are running extremely high though http://geekvillage.com/ubb/frown.gif

About 40 days ago I signed up for a burst account, 20 days ago I left burst. The day I left I had served something like 60,000 banners. That day burst was actually able to provide me with a whole 11,000 paid banners, netting me something like $20. On most days I'd serve about half that many banners and find myself being paid for 1000 - 3000 of the ads. To put it simply, to figure out your true cpm, you have to factor in what you're not being paid for because burst doesnt buy much.

Interestingly, defaults have never been much of a problem for me.. 805 paid impressions, 73 defaults out of a total 878 impressions.. I've read of worse here.. Man, I seriously miss those days when RocketLinks would select my page time (through Burst) after time, and offer me a juicy $5 CPM. Sigh...

Defaults for you are quite possibly so low because your not sending them much traffic and you have all the cpc campaigns selected.
I refuse to run the cpc campaigns so I had like 4500 defaults and the 1464 paid impressions. From most of the posts I've seen on the various boards, the more impressions you send the higher the defaults. |

Ted:
You were doing quite well for your 60,000 banners. Yesterday I sent 52,000 banners and made $3 -- $1.50 after commission. 80% defaults. It does seem true that the more banners you send, the worse payout you get. It's definitely a case of diminishing returns. Ralph |
