... D. Reed Freeman.
Mr Freeman has accumulated an impressive resume over the years, but his career has taken an unusual turn of late. Currently the chief privacy officer of a large US-based advertising and technology company, Mr Freeman has just been appointed to the crucial Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee. "So, what's so bizarre about that?" I hear you asking. Well, the advertising technology company for which Mr Freeman is currently employed is none other than...drumroll please...Claria! (aka Gator Corp) That's right, the gentleman who guides a spyware company's privacy practices is now an advisor for the Department of Homeland Security's privacy committee. Huh? Did April Fool's Day come early this year? ![]() For more on this, see: http://news.com.com/Adware+maker+joi...3-5587653.html
