Arrow Nothing but Gator

Hello ScumBusters,

For the next few weeks I'm going to focus my passion and fight on Gator. Iv'e already got 3 screen captures for your review at http://www.geekvillage.com/forums/fo...?s=&forumid=57 Each thread starts with the word Gator.

I havent forgot about the other players in this space but Gator is huge with over 10 millions users and is privately held so I can't examine their financials and such. This aligator from California has some serious VC money behind it:

Investor AB
US Venture Partners
Technology Crossover Ventures
Greylock
Andy Bechtolsheim (Founder of Sun Microsystems)
Scott Cook (Founder of Intuit)
Denis Coleman (Founder of Symantec, Visioneer)
Craig Johnson (Founder of Venture Law Group)
Garage.com

Some great resources and articles:

http://www.iab.net/news/content/08_28_01.html

I'm not inclined to make comments about how this TheftWare app works untill I can see same on my own infected computer.

I would hope that we could all keep posts in this thread directly related to Gator, it's advertisers, and it's relationships.

If "you" are a former employee or advertiser of Gator, please contact me via the following page:

http://stopscum.com/media_contact.htm

Anyone have a URL where Gator is currently "overlaying" it's banners? NOT pops.

Comments?

An interview with CEO Jeff McFadden published today. More of the "we do it because we can" attitude.

Former Gator user, Rebecca Marler, has done a GREAT job reviewing RoboForm (another free form filling software -- NO ADS!!!). Read the article and if you want to reprint this article, please feel free to do so as long as you keep Rebecca's copyright and site information attached to the document. Read the review at The Gator Alternative: RoboForm Product Review
