Default Question on CJ local currency payment

I am planning to switch my payment to the local currency option. But I have some questions:

1) Do they draw the check from a U.S. bank paid with my local currency? If so how is this possible? Or do they pay through money order or that sort of stuff?

2) What is the conversion rate they use to convert? Is it the prevailing exchange rate at the day they pay?

3) Does your local bank accept these type of foreign checks that are paid in your local currency?

Anyone here being paid in their local currency can help me out? And did you encounter any problems with CJ being paid in your local currency?

Smile Don't recommend it!!

Converting your checks to your local currency would mean you can't really decide on the exchange rates. It matters when you convert a lot, generally banks have lower dollar buying rates. Just maintain a savings account and exchange it there. Look for international banks like Citibank or try ABN-AMRO (only $200 maintaining balance in the Phil. and no banking fees to cash in you check)
