Lightbulb Earn $1,000.00 per referral

While a million dollars is an amount of interest to a lot of people right now, one thousand dollars per referral isn't all that bad either. That is the amount being offered as part of this program. Actually it is up to $1,000 per referral, so in many cases it will be less than $1,000.

This is a little complicated because three factors are involved; a search engine, an affiliate program, and getting paid per click.

A little background information would help and you will find it in this thread http://www.geekvillage.com/forums/sh...threadid=27659 It will help a great deal if you first read that thread.

In that thread it is covered how this search engine (BigClique) wants to be the next major search engine. They still have a long way to go before they are a major search engine.

Their index appears to be a little more than twice the size it was then, but much smaller than the 3 major search engines. But they say they give much better results than the other search engines. I don't think that can be considered an unbiased statement on their part.

Now they have sponsored search with an affiliate program for both advertisers and webmasters.

First of all there is revenue sharing of 50 percent to 60 percent.

Then there is another feature which is a referral that can be earned for getting them new advertisers.

New advertisers spend money and you are to get 10 percent of what that advertiser spends for as long as they advertise with BigClique.

As you can see, this whole matter is rather involved and a little complicated. Here is more information on it that clears up some of it. This is a press release and as often is the case, it isn't exactly impartial. They call themselves a major search engine in the press release. http://www.emediawire.com/releases/2.../emw291954.htm

Here is a link to the BigClique search engine http://www.bigclique.com/

This link is for their search distribution program http://www.bigclique.com/partner_xml.php

The BigClique referral affiliate program is here http://www.bigclique.com/partner_refer.php

All of this sounds good, but people actually doing great with what they offer may or may not be a different story.

Possibly all of these new features will spark some interest in BigClique because right now the vast majority of people have never heard of them. I'm sure they want that to change.

I should add that their terms aren't easy to find and as you know, it is often very important to read the terms. They might become available during the process of signing up, and I didn't attempt to join so I can't say for sure.
