What's good with face-to-face networking is that you can observe the gestures of the person therefore you can assess the sincerity and trustworthiness. But networking online is proven effective as well due to the fact that we don't own all our time to extend connection with people other than in our place. It is quite risky to trust but we also have to look at the fact that internet is dominating now thus majority of transactions involve online connections.
