If you have a server that allows individual FTP accounts you can do this pretty easily. Place the directories that will be updated or maintained from outside individuals in this account's directory. Set it to secured, give them a password that you control, as some servers allow user to change passwords. This protects your company and will allow them access to only those directories. They then upload via ftp.
