Sarge,

Loading the site took awhile, really didn't look at why. I'll re-visit later when I have more time. My guess is the script for the affiliate links is slowing you down.

Take a look at what your index page or "doorway" page has on it. Do you really need 3 affilate links on your front door? Also the front door (index page or "doorway" page) is getting just a tad too long. The index should have just enough of a teaser line ti get me the page with the story, but really shouldn't have a long blurb, for example I'd trim the Latest Articles and Latest Atomic Punks Happenings!

While I wouldn't use the bright color scheme, you seem to make it work for you. Only criticism here is font sizes seem to jump around a bit. It's a subliminal thing that annoys people, when font sizes change alot. Try to keep font sizes as consitant as humanly possible from page to page.

Other style comment, some pages seem to have a lot of cell padding, others seemed to be cramped and crowded. Take a look at what you can do to develop a consistant look and feel.

Overall Grade: B

Happy Webmastering

Great review Q and thanks http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

Great start Sarge. Taking what Q said a bit further, if your pages are "shorter" and that means not as long as they presently are, you produce more page views/impressions and the speed of the site increases.

Some of your graphice need more key words in the ALT tags. Some engines do read these.

Your pages should read: © 1999-2001

Perhaps I missed this but I don't see a link to return to your home page. Given the wealth of content you might want to insert a link that reads Home and or make your logo link to your Home page.

Nice site and best of luck http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif
