Hi,
What program do people use when creating cool logos for their websites? Ive only tried Xara and not that satisfied with the results.

I mostly use Adobe...PhotoShop 5.5, Illustrator, ImageReady etc...but I just got CorelDraw 10 and it has some funky new clip art etc. I hear PSP is good (and cheaper) There's also tons of support on the web for it too.

Yeah, I don't like Xara either. The logos look too glossy for my tastes. PSP makes some really good logos, especially if you have the right plugins and picture tubes (which you can get for free). But Photoshop is by far the best of the image editors, if you have a large wallet.

Photoshop 6.0 really does all the logo work to a walk in the park! Making logos have never been easier..
just let me know if anybody needs some custome work done =)
How about just some tips? http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif I'm getting a little tired of just typing out a name in a cool font, and then running a few cool filters over it, or using some other layer effect.
Any websites that deal with this?

We have a new site we will be launching soon. Let me know if you are interested in doing a logo for us and approximately what it would cost. We may also need an animated 48x60 as well.

PSP is nice but I found my quality of work not turning out so great. Maybe I was doing something wrong.
Photoshop is good if you know what you're doing.
My preference is Fireworks. I love that prog.
