1. Your name? Ahmed Farooq

2. URL(s) of site? http://www.rpgwh.net

3. Age of site? Site has been up since May 2001

4. Approximate monthly page views and/or unique visitor? Rouhgly 750 uniques a day and 2150 impressions a day. We recently moved from PhpNuke to a modified newspro CMS which ensures all pages get indexed. Should get to 1000 when google finally updates :/

5. How does site generate income? How much?
Curretnly serving NO popups. We had a custom advertiser contact us, and is paying us $30.00 this month, and likely more next month. We are part of Burstmedia

6. Who develops content and administers the site and how much time does it require? The Owner :). We have some japanese news sites that get us some scoops.

7. Reason for selling? Divesting from gaming - my interest in gaming sites is finally waning after 7 long years

8. Will you help with the transition of the site to the new owner? Of course!

9. Does the site have an e-zine or newsletter? Number of subscribers? On the old phpNuke system, we had ~4500 registered users.

10. Asking price for the site? Up on eBay. [ http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2536170538 ]

We have inner PR contacts with quite a few gaming companies [couple of free games a month], plus a decent Alexa ranking of ~80,000. Its quite popular with community sense - if you see, pretty much all the news posts have comments between users.

This site's design and structure has been done for SEO - just a bit of minor tweaking, some updating, and you have a winner :)

[EDIT:Just wanted to add.

http://dir.yahoo.com/Recreation/Games/Computer_Games/Genres/Role_Playing/ - was added by Yahoo! (no payment), and is deemed 'most popular']

PM or post if you have any questions etc.

A few questions from an interested party:

1. Do you have any knowledge as to whether or not BurstMedia looks favorably upon account transfers? Will this create any problems?

2. Is the site presently hosted on your dedicated server, or under a shared account? If the latter, what is the cost? If the former, do you have mod_gzip installed? (I ask since the transfer numbers are fairly large in relation to pageviews)

3. Will you help inform the gaming contacts you have about the transition in ownership?

Best of luck with the sale. I'm sure it will go for a good price. :)

1. BurstMedia has no problem. You will be given account details, you login, change info, and *POOF*. Its all good :)

2. Currently I have all my sites hosted on a dedicated machine. mod_gzip is installed [we have a lot of screenshots accounting for the bw usage - no downloads]

3. Its just a list. But we can inform them that Mr. [or Mrs!] XX YY will now be leading up RPGWh.het :)

Basically its an excellent base. In Yahoo! for free. In DMOZ [2 links]. Google upped to a PR6, and a very decent alexa traffic ranking [I dont even have alexa installed]. Community is around it as you can see by the number of comments posted for each news item. Perfact way to skyrocket :)

whats the deal with the vbulletin and the forums? The Site does not have its own forum i'm guessing and the vbulletin license does not come with it?

we decided not to sell in the end - we focused on increasing our relationship with our advertiser so that we all win :)
