yahoo has a banner ad that looks like something bonzi would do that promotes software that sets your computer clock to atomic clocks or something like that

the banner links to http://www.gatorcorporation.com/hd/2click/t2/landing_pg.html?yic=MIC_YahooB1422

the good:
the user doesnt get the yes or no auto-install until they click the banner

the bad:
they still get gain

what do you guys think about this?

Looks like another case of a good publisher making a bad decision.

Perhaps Yahoo's salespeople haven't been reading the trade publications for the past year or so (or maybe they've only been reading ClickZ ;)), but somehow they don't seem to understand that with their help Gator could increase its reach to such a point as to force Yahoo's management (and others) to subsequently take action against the firm or risk the 60% of their revenue that does still come from ad sales.

Hi. I was offered that campaign by Netshelter, and initially I thought it was perfectly legitimate, as the creatives did not seem to have any "Gator" branding on them at all.

Here are the URL's to the creatives: -
