View Full Version : Copy for informing users of scumware?

Hi there,
It's been a thought of mine to add one of the scumware detection scripts to an HTML email blast to some 10 million subscribers. The script I'm thinking of is written in javascript and opens a popup window (at a URL of your chosing.) But I'm struggling with coming up with a not too scary bit of copy for that popup. I want something that people will notice, and something that lets them know how the savenow's of the world are likely to put the final nail in the coffin for any free sites that remain out there by stealing affiliate revenue from these sites.

We get a 20-30% open rate on most of our emails, so I was hoping that this would end up putting a fairly hefty dent in the impact of scumware/thiefware (you do the math on the reach.)

So does anyone out there have any thoughts for copy to use for these popups? (It detects ezula and surf+. I think I located it via a link from t h i e f w a r e . c o m or similar.)

TIA.
