View Full Version : New Toy - Internet Cell Phone
I have Wireless Internet on my cell phone. It's useful to me 'cause I can check my AOL e-mail when I am outside. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif (It supports AOL & Yahoo! mail) ... You can also check the Latest news, weather reports, sports, get directions. + Many other useful places like eBay, e*Trade. It even have access to Hollywood.com and some other websites. Only 30-40 websites support it though. Not much, but still, useful! http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

Stocks, weather, basic directions, resturants, yellow pages, sports scores, it's great!
I use the wireless web with my sprintpcs phone. It's no browser but then again, with the $100 option I purchased, it plugs right into my laptop for portable internet access.
As long as you can get a good price on wireless web services, by all means, use it.

Hey guys -
I was tired of my current cell phone provider not having very good coverage, so I decided to swtich to AT&T (my dad has an AT&T phone, and he has only lost a signal once - in the middle of Yellowstone Park). I was going to get the Regional Advantage when I saw that you could add on PocketNet service for free, so of course, I did http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif
It'll be a week or so before I get it, but I was wondering if anyone here had a cell phone with wireless internet? I know its very basic net access (ie, I won't be able to browse my Jessica Simpson picture galleries on it http://geekvillage.com/ubb/frown.gif ), but nevertheless, looks very useful. I see that you can use eTrade, get Weather reports, get tee times at golf courses, and a bunch of other cool stuff.
Anyway, if you want, please share your thoughts on this. I'll be sure and let you know how it is once my phone gets here http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif
