What kind of secret stuff you guys think they talk about on the moderator board? Because there are a lot of posts there! And as far as I can tell, it's posted on every day. We must be pretty interesting or something...

And half those moderators, I've never seen on these boards. I haven't exactly been coming here a long time, but I read a lot of posts. I've never heard of Arn or Aaron Dragushan, who are both moderators on all of these boards. I'm just glad we have Steve_S around (and WildComputer too, but he seems less administrative than Steve_S). Thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure that these guys have a lot of other stuff to do, and thus they have less time to post (save wildcomputer I think, he posts a TON) and Aaron Dragushan posts now and then, but your right, I've never seen any posts from Arn or Ryan Adams...

I'm thinking though, that they just talk about how they are going to dress for work and what they had for breakfast, stuff like that... I KNOW I WOULD http://geekvillage.com/ubb/tongue.gif

OR maybe they talk about shopping (for new computer stuff of course)...

They could also be laughing at us and telling each other how much better they are than the other people here... but uh, that just wouldn't be very nice http://geekvillage.com/ubb/frown.gif

So you've never heard of Arn or Aaron Dragushan, who are both moderators on all of these boards?

I guess they're taking it slow and easy so they don't burn out.

Hmmm, I am the ghost of moderators past. I believe I was the second moderator here, after Steve_S the Great Administrator, and the first moderator Ryan Adams of clickquick fame. Ryan's got a real day job now in the internet world, hasn't been here much in quite a while.

The private moderator's forum is like a support group. If we're not careful, we burn out after a year or so. Alas, the great enigma WC, aka WildComputer. Ah yes, I remember it well when he came on the scene. Like the London fog he just crept up on us one day, and the next thing you know, he's got a 1000 posts.

Who knows, with therapy I may be back some day full time.

I've seen Adams post a few times....mostly some months ago....or longer...can't remember...

as for what they talk about....I'm thinkin' its stuff along the lines of Pinky and the Brain....you know....that lil' cartoon where all they do is plot world domination....

of course they do that AFTER they talk about the latest developments on the Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives and The View...

How did you know Doc? http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

ccole - geekvillage is Steve's board hence he is the final arbitrator of the rules, content, etc. - and hence is "administrative" Myself, I'm just the help

Knix-does this count? I do have other stuff to do to - really - but I'm just too darned lazy, and geekvillage allows me to loaf and learn at the same time http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

I know Arn & Ryan have been busy hence their low recent profiles. Aaron is around.

The soaps and how we dress. I wish.

Running and or Moderating a Webmaster Centric Community is not for the faint of heart. Thus it is part support group. Along with very candid and honest talk about how we can improve this place and continue to set standards via new and fresh thinking. Combine all this with some confidential internal procedures we use to manage this place and you will see posts about every other day.

I don't care about what they talk about - what I want to know is why they need to moderate themselves?

It strikes my funny bone to see moderators for a moderators forum. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

Perhaps the "mods" should assign some normal members as moderators of that forum, to make sure *they* keep in line http://geekvillage.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I guess I lurk a lot more than I post. My focus these days is more on community-building, email newsletters and growing a small-business than making money, so sometimes I have less to say than you guys.

I do come here at least twice a day - I'll try to post more...

I could tell you that it's nothing exciting, but you'd never believe me, and then we'd have to kill ya anyways. http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

Singloon: Through tears of shame I admit I just realized that Singloon and eva2000 are one and the same. It's kinda neat knowing people across boards!

Nice to see you here, Aaron. Been spying all along, huh? Well, sit and have a cup of coffee with us.
