View Full Version : Articles on your website topic

Hi guys,

I'm revamping weeno.com a bit, and making it a bit more portal-ish.

I'm looking for people who run websites (you guys) to write an article on the topic of your website. It should fall into the category of "Intro to, Tips, Tutorials, or How To's".

In exchange for the article, I'll give you a prominent site link/description at the bottom of the article.

See http://www.weeno.com/art/0400/218.html as an example.

For good, well written articles, I will feature your article on the main page (see http://www.weeno.com ) for at least 1 week. We get around 700+ uniques/day.

This should be a good way to get interested new users to your site. The article itself will also act as a "doorway page" for your site in search engines. Some of our articles have gotten excellent rankings in search engines (for reasons beyond me http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif

nyc apartment - #1
install phone line - #1
learn database - #1
carbonated soda - #4

Obviously, these are only a few good examples, and I can't guarantee good placement, but every little bit helps. Titles appear to have a big influence... so choose wisely.

- no affiliate links in the articles themselves
- no advertising your site in the text of the article

Basically, I'd want truly informative articles, without any apparent biases.

Articles don't have to be long either, as long as they are complete and selfcontained.

Good examples:

How to Read Guitar Tablature http://www.weeno.com/art/0400/215.html

How to Avoid the Currency Crunch when Traveling Abroad http://www.weeno.com/art/0399/17.html

If you have an idea for an article, please email me at webmaster@weeno.com - articles with your site links at the bottom will have to be a slightly higher quality than "regular" user-contributed Weeno articles... (I know some of the current articles in the site are less than good http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smile.gif
