Hello members and visitors,

Welcome to our new home. It appears that we were able to move everything over and forwarding is in place at our old location.

I think you will have to set your cookie for our new home so our BB will remember your user name and password. Click the Profile link at the top of the page and log in with your user name and password. If you have forgotten your data, click the Forget your password link and let our BB send you your data. Please make sure you use the exact same email address you joined under. You could even fish out an old post and see if your profile will help.

Next click the Submit Identification, check your profile and edit as appropriate. Finally click the Submit Modifications button and the BB should set a cookie on your system. You must click this button. Naturally, you don't have to do this procedure if you don't like cookies and have memorized your user name and password.

Thanks for your cooperation and patience during this move. Have fun and let's continue to share our knowledge.

Respectfully yours,

Hello,

Here are a few tips and new features in Version 5.44a of our BB software.

1) Next to the date of a post in a thread and located on the far right hand side is a new icon labeled Reply w/Quote You may not need (and we may not like) to quote the entire previous post but it's helpful as you can edit out what you don't want to quote and can save you time. A thread full of dozens of full quotes is likely to be a waste of time to read and aggravating for some. Relevant parts in a quote are good. Please use this feature with discretion.

2) When you reply to a post their is a new link on the left hand side named Smiles Legend which is at http://geekvillage.com/ubb/smilies.html These are new icons you may wish to use in your posts.

3) I’ve corrected the default icon issue we initially had this AM in your posts to a generic looking thing.

4) A new switch/option in your post lets you "Disable Smilies in This Post"

5) Double posts should be far less prevalent

6) Subjectively, the BB feels faster in it's new home on my dedicated server.

7) Please make sure you create a new bookmark for our BB since the URL has changed. If you have links to the BB on your site (which are always appreciated http://geekvillage.com/ubb/biggrin.gif) please edit these as necessary.

Thanks again to everyone for your valuable participation, patience and cooperation during our move.

Respectfully yours,
