Hello members and visitors,
Sometime around 9:00PM on 3/1/00 (San Diego, California USA) CGI/Perl services for my entire site at www.very-cool-stuff.com (http://www.very-cool-stuff.com) failed. This brought down our BB and all my other scripts. Given these events and the inability of my Host to restore services in a timely manner, I have decided to move our BB to my dedicated server and new home at www.GeekVillage.com (http://www.GeekVillage.com) today or tomorrow.
Their will be a minor interuption of service. I will post the exact URL to our new home on the front page of this BB and this location of our BB will close so posts don't get lost in the move. I apologize for any inconvenience our down time may have caused you. I am acutely aware of your loyalty and support, so a significant interruption of our service pains me greatly.
Our new site should provide improved speed, greater reliability, room to grow, and a far more focused environment to expand our services to our Members and visitors.
In a week or two we will launch our GeekVillage Contests with Prizes you might win at our new home. Please also consider this post my formal notice that I do intend to Email all registered members with data on our move. This is the first mailing we have ever done. If this bothers you, just click the Profile link, log in, and select No for the "Allow Bulletin Board Administrators and Moderators To Send You Email Notices?"
